BROKEN ARROW (1996) ONE, 8.30PM, M, ACTION

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

In the world of action and stunts, Hong Kong director John Woo is one of the best. His work is so well-timed and choreographed that at times the stunts make you gasp with their beauty. So it is with BrokenArrow. It is an action movie through and through. The best idea is to forget the plot – which follows two fighter pilots, Deakins (John Travolta) and Hale (Christian Slater, above) who are on a routine run when Deakins turns traitor and steals the two nuclear warheads being carried on board, holding them ransom while the government tries to retrieve them – because it’s obvious the filmmakers did, and just admire the stunts. ★
