BULLY

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

While director Lee Hirsch should be congratulated for turning the cameras on school-age bullies and highlighting the need for action, it’s unclear who would actually pay to buy this DVD. Certainly not parents of children who are being bullied. They are living the story of victimisation Hirsch shows. Certainly not the parents of the bullies because, as one mum says in a town meeting shown in the doco, they don’t care. And not anyone in a position of power in schools because there are no solutions or hints here on how to tackle the problem. What stays with you if you do watch, though, are the faces of the parents whose children commit suicide rather than face the horror of going to school. ★★★ Extras: None
