iBooks and Kin­dle apps. LIFE­STYLE Hol­i­day spot: At the moment I would say Noosa Heads. Good food, good surf and good golf. Thing to do on the week­end: Call footy games and watch kids’ sport. My four kids have hit that age where par­ents be­come cab­bies. Place to go to re­lax: In­dooroop­illy Golf Course. I play lots of golf very early in the morn­ing against a mate who I reg­u­larly beat. Hobby: Golf, read­ing and surf­ing when I can. Sport to fol­low or play: I really only fol­low rugby league and miss it ter­ri­bly across the sum­mer break. Din­ner con­ver­sa­tion topics: The kids’ day at school and rugby league. We’re a fam­ily full of league trag­ics. HOME Room in your house: My home of­fice/man cave. One of the great things about be­ing a rugby league com­men­ta­tor is be­ing able to watch as much footy as you want and tell your wife you’re work­ing. Place to hide from ev­ery­one: Man cave/golf course. You can usu­ally find me at ei­ther place. Art piece: My el­dest daugh­ter is a bud­ding artist so any­thing she cre­ates nor­mally takes pride of place some­where in my man cave. Item you can’t live with­out: My Ne­spresso ma­chine. Lux­ury prod­uct: My wife. It’s not hard to see who got the good deal in our mar­riage. FOOD Meal of all time: My wife’s spaghetti aglio olio – olive oil, chilli, gar­lic, broc­coli and pars­ley. Dish to cook: Steak on the bar­be­cue. Fam­ily recipe: My mum makes mean cur­ried sausages. In­gre­di­ent: Gar­lic. Hate the breath but love the taste. Guilty plea­sure: Lindt chilli dark choco­late. Try it be­fore you judge it. Bar: My back deck at home might have to be my pick. Restau­rant: Il Cen­tro at Ea­gle St Pier in Bris­bane and Beppi’s Ital­ian Restau­rant at Dar­linghurst in Syd­ney. Cafe: The two cafe´s around the cor­ner from my house in Rosalie Vil­lage, Salt and Flute. STYLE Style icon: My wife gives me fash­ion ad­vice. Does that count? Fash­ion de­signer: The bloke who de­cided it was OK to wear sneak­ers with jeans – Jerry Se­in­feld? Piece of cloth­ing: My sports coat. Shop: Retro Metro in Padding­ton.
