A NIGHT AT THE ROXBURY (1998) ELEVEN, 8.30PM, M, COMEDY

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

Cretinous humour abounds but doesn’t offend in ANight At The Roxbury, a film about a couple of guys who aspire to coolness but just aren’t making it. Steve (Will Ferrell) and Doug Butabi (Chris Kattan) are brothers who seem unlikely to ever make the guest list for that coolest of cool clubs, The Roxbury. That is, until they encounter a gangster who gets the losers into the club, which turns out to be owned by their benefactor, played by Richard Grieco. This is a funny parody of all that’s supposedly hip and these guys, who have graced the screen on Saturday NightLive, are pretty dang funny. Great bop-till-you-drop soundtrack too. ★★★
