This show is for lovers of good food and all things or­ganic.

It fol­lows former food critic Matthew Evans who moved from the city to coun­try Tas­ma­nia to grow all his own food, or at least source it lo­cally.

This week he in­ves­ti­gates the dif­fer­ences be­tween her­itage and su­per­mar­ket freerange chick­ens in terms of their size and taste to dis­cover which ones are the best eat­ing.

He also looks at a fab­u­lous, year-round crop of veg­eta­bles us­ing a poly-tun­nel where chick­ens help fer­tilise and pre­pare the soil for grow­ing.

It’s en­ter­tain­ing to see food get from pad­dock to plate.
