Thursday, 8pm, SBS ONE
This show is for lovers of good food and all things organic.
It follows former food critic Matthew Evans who moved from the city to country Tasmania to grow all his own food, or at least source it locally.
This week he investigates the differences between heritage and supermarket freerange chickens in terms of their size and taste to discover which ones are the best eating.
He also looks at a fabulous, year-round crop of vegetables using a poly-tunnel where chickens help fertilise and prepare the soil for growing.
It’s entertaining to see food get from paddock to plate.
