STEP BROTHERS (2008) GO! 9.30PM, MA15+, COMEDY

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

Will Ferrell’s character in this boisterous comedy is a man who acts like an overgrown child – but this time, that’s the plot. Ferrell (above) reunites with his Talladega Nights offsider John C. Reilly for this tale about two adult adolescents who never moved out of home. Pushing their previous comedy envelope only in terms of swearing, Ferrell and Reilly star as the pair forced to live together when their single parents Nancy and Robert (Mary Steenburgen and Richard Jenkins) tie the knot. Ferrell evidently believes that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it – but for all its crass humour and silly dialogue,

StepBrothers has plenty of

heart. ★★★
