NOW IS GOOD

Get the tissues ready because you’ll need them for this emotional, bally-our-eyes-out drama. The story follows 17-year-old Tessa (Dakota Fanning) who, after fighting a losing battle with leukaemia, decides to stop treatment and spend her last moments living life to the max. She makes a bucket list, which includes taking drugs and having sex, much to the disapproval of her over-protective father. In the midst of all this she finds love with a college boy down the street (Jeremy Irvine) and the two begin an intense but doomed romance. There are funny moments as the sarcastic and seemingly fearless Tessa crosses things off her list, heart-warming points as her first love blossoms and desperately sad instances as death becomes more imminent. What results is an enjoyable blubber-fest good for a night in. ★★★✩ Extras: Deleted scenes ★
