HENRY RAM­SAY A curly haired McLach­lan

first leapt to our at­ten­tion in Fe­bru­ary 1987 as Henry Ram­say on The

brother to Kylie Minogue’s char­ac­ter, Char­lene, had a shady past but he quickly won the hearts of his neigh­bours and Aus­tralia. De­spite his short stint on the show he is well re­mem­bered.

POP STAR As soap stars are in­clined to do McLach­lan used his Neigh­bours no­to­ri­ety to launch his record­ing ca­reer. He pro­duced the mu­si­cal gem Mona, which still gets oc­ca­sional air­play on Rage

late at night if you are lucky. He re­leased a few

other less mem­o­rable sin­gles but none achieved the success of Mona, which made it to No. 3 on the

Aus­tralian charts.

THE­ATRE STAR McLach­lan headed to Lon­don next where he quickly scored the lead role of Danny Zuko in the West End cast of
