LEGION (2009) GO!, 9.30PM, AV15+, FANTASY

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

A rollicking, religious-themed supernatural thriller that boosts its routine end-ofthe-world plotline with some crafty dialogue, energetic direction and solid acting across the board. At a remote diner in the middle of the New Mexico desert, an enigmatic, deadly serious stranger (Paul Bettany) arrives with a cache of weapons to warn the unlucky souls trapped there a worldwide apocalypse is in full swing. After revealing he’s actually a fallen archangel cast out after defying God, he also lets it be known the key to saving humanity lies in the continued survival of the unborn child of a waitress (Adrianne Palicki) trapped there. Legion moves at a cracking pace, never pausing to let viewers realise how silly the whole premise is. ★★✩
