This se­ries is for the se­ri­ous foodie. It fol­lows award-win­ning UK chef Ste­vie Parle and English pro­fes­sional spice blender Emma Grazette as they travel the world learn­ing about spices.

In this episode, the pair trav­els to Zanz­ibar in Africa where cloves are widely grown and used to flavour ev­ery­thing from savoury pan­cakes to stews.

View­ers will get to see how cloves are grown and picked and how to se­lect the high­est qual­ity ones.

They will also learn a few Zanz­ibar-in­spired recipes, in­clud­ing grilled fish with hot fruit salsa and or­ange, clove and po­lenta cake.
