MRS BIGGS

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

The problem with this miniseries, recently seen on Seven, isn’t with the production at all. The acting from the leads is fine and the recreation of the ‘60s believable. It is just that we really don’t have much of a connection with Ronald Biggs who helped steal £2.6 million from the Royal Mail train in 1963, let alone with his wife Charmaine. Ronnie is portrayed as a likeable lad and Charmaine as the gullible young girl who fell in love with him and was swept along with his life on the run. So forget about the history and enjoy it for what it is – an acceptable love story coupled with a police drama as the couple go on the run. ★★★ Extras: None
