The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

From the sledgehammer edits and the stately dialogue, to the shocking humour and cool-as-you-like tunes, the first volume of Quentin Tarantino’s two-pronged, East-meets-West martial arts buffet is cinema par excellence. Uma Thurman is a sight to behold as the lanky beauty who vows vengeance – after four years in a coma – upon former cohorts the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and their boss Bill (David Carradine) for the massacre of her bridal party. Tarantino snowballs a monumental orgy of limblopping violence into a piece of art that is simply aweinspiring. Also stars Vivica A. Fox, Daryl Hannah and Lucy Liu. ★★★★★

Looking sharp: Uma Thurman in Kill Bill:Vol.1.
