A place ridiculed for its lack of culi­nary di­ver­sity and ob­ses­sion with the potato, Ire­land hardly seems like a coun­try worth film­ing a food show about. But Aussie cook Lyn­dey Mi­lan is out to prove that idea wrong.

She’s learn­ing about some of the coun­try’s del­i­ca­cies, dis­cov­er­ing its his­tory and meet­ing lo­cal pro­duc­ers.

This week she’s in County Mayo, in Ire­land’s west, talk­ing to a lamb pro­ducer and meet­ing an ac­claimed black pud­ding maker. She also gets cook­ing rack of lamb with Ir­ish brown bread crust and black pud­ding.
