KILL BILL: VOL. 2 (2004) GO! 9.30PM, AV15+, ACTION

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

Closing in on the sadistic Bill (David Carradine), betrayed former assassin The Bride (Uma Thurman) continues on her MadMax- like path of vengeance – two down, three to go – in Quentin Tarantino’s awe-inspiring action duplet. If Vol. 1 was the ultimate Saturday-night drive-in special, then the adrenalin rush subsides for Vol.2, a character study in which spaghetti-western motifs are spectacularly juxtaposed with Tarantino’s pop-cultural obsessiveness (just wait till you hear his concept of Superman mythology). It all adds up to pure genius, and Thurman’s endurance is nothing short of miraculous. ★★★★★
