IGOR (2008) GO!, 5.30PM, PG, ANIMATION

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

This freaky animated comedy tries to inject the trademark humour of Shrek into the mind of Tim Burton – imagine CorpseBride with harder edges and you’ll have some idea of what to expect from this dysfunctional family film. In the gloomy realm of Malaria, lowly hunchback Igor (voiced by John Cusack) longs to be an evil scientist. Unfortunately, his secretly created she-monster (Molly Shannon) turns out to be far from evil. And things turn even uglier when the diabolical Dr Schadenfreude (Eddie Izzard) resolves to pass her off as his own invention. Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Will&Grace’s Sean Hayes and Jennifer Coolidge also lend their larynxes to the kooky tale. ★★★
