DATE NIGHT (2010) TEN, 8.30PM, M, COMEDY

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

Two of the small screen’s sharpest comedic talents, Steve Carell ( TheOffice) and Tina Fey ( 30Rock), team up for this funny if overly familiar caper comedy from director Shawn Levy ( Night at the Museum). They play Phil and Claire Foster, a long-term couple who try to reignite their marital spark with a night out on the town. After swiping a dinner reservation at a pricey restaurant, the Fosters are mistaken for blackmailers who stole a USB stick containing incriminating information about a crooked mobster (Ray Liotta) and are soon on the run from two relentless thugs (hip-hop artist Common and Jimmi Simpson). A mindless romp made all the more appealing by two likeable and gifted leads. ★★★

Close call: Claire (Tina Fey) and Phil Foster (Steve Carell) are on the run in DateNight.
