KINDERGARTEN COP (1990) SEVEN, 8.30PM, M, COMEDY

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

Arnold Schwarzenegger is well cast as a hardened detective plucked from LA’s mean streets to locate the only link to catching a drug lord – the crim’s ex-wife and six-yearold son. To do so he is placed undercover as a kindergarten teacher where all the obvious cutesy antics take place (“It’s not a too-ma,” he snaps, in reply to an anklebiter’s endearing medical diagnosis). Although enjoyable, it sharply twists from child’s play to violence in the closing moments, and never settles on a game plan. ★★★
