Chaos reigns as Claire (Julie Bowen) heads to hos­pi­tal for an an­giogram – and she and Phil (Ty Bur­rell) get a fast-for­ward into what their fu­ture looks like. Most touch­ing is Jay (Ed O’Neill) grudg­ingly tak­ing Manny (Rico Ro­driguez, above right, with O’Neill) on a tour of a pres­ti­gious pri­vate prep school – a place Jay in­stinc­tively hates – but has a change of heart.
