Top pick

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - TODAY’S PICK -

DRAMA BROADCHURCH 8.4 0PM, ABC Despite the silly backlash in the UK, season two is still high-quality drama. This time around it’s about how a defence team can make the guilty seem innocent (and vice-versa). The problem is the b-plot “Sandbrook” mystery. We don’t know the people involved, we have nothing invested in it and so it’s hard to care whodunit. COMEDY CRISTELA 6. 3 0PM, FOX8 Some good lines but not a particularly good sitcom. Cristela Alonzo is likeable and sharpwitted but her show makes too many safe and predictable choices. Tonight the interns are vying for a promotion, with Cristela’s sports knowledge giving her the edge over Josh (Andrew Leeds) who doesn’t even know who Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is. Yeah, I had to Google him too. DRAMA THE GOOD WIFE ANYTIME, PRESTO The title really undersells what has become one of the smartest legal/ political dramas on television. But with the first two seasons available e on Presto, now’s the perfect time to catch up. The show follows Aliciaa Florrick (Julianna Margulies, right) who transforms herself from the embarrassed wife of a scandal-plagued gued politician to a successful lawyer over er the course of the show.
