IN her own words, Rose is “many moons” from where Australian audiences last saw her before her big break in Orange Is The New Black.

Open about her struggle with depression and bipolar disorder, she had signed off Twitter with a message of resignation and desperation, retreating to a US rehab clinic for medical support.

Now, she tells TV Guide: “I’m very happy. I’m definitely feeling incredibly at peace with myself and the world and many moons from where I was many years ago. It’s awesome and if there’s anything I can say about that to people who have been through what I’ve been through … which is a lot of people … it’s just, ‘Hang in there because it does get better’. That’s not a cheesy catchphrase that people try to use to save you when you’re not feeling great, it’s real. If you hang in there and it gets better, life is worth every single moment we get in this world. It’s all a blessing and I get to live that everyday."
