DRAMA GLITCH 8. 3 0PM, ABC From Matchbox – the makers of TheSlap and TheDevil’sPlayground – Glitch has a solid pedigree, but this reviewer is struggling. Think TheReturned or Resurrection – people back from the dead is the premise. Yes, it’s spooky. Yes, it hinges on believing the unbelievable. And yes, it should be a slow-burn. But for mine, unbelievable defies belief and it’s slow as opposed to slow-burn.
LUKE NGUYEN’S UNITED KINGDOM 8PM, S BS Two words make this episode enticing: pork belly. Nguyen’s UK sojourn takes him to Northumberland, where he meets up with mate David Kennedy to produce said pork belly, then it’s on to Manchester, where Nguyen discovers he’s the inspiration behind Mr Pieman’s pho pie.
ZOO 8. 3 0PM, T E N If bestselling author James Patterson – he is executive producer of this series based on his book – is your thing, you’re already on to this show about a wave of violent animal attacks across the globe. Tonight’s second ep sees the zoologist Jackson Oz (James Wolk) save his best mate Abraham (Nonso Anozie) from a lion attack in Botswana. Chillingly for Oz, it strengthens his theory animals are killing humans purely for sport.
