COMEDY THE DAILY SHOW

6. 3 0PM, T HE C OMEDY C HANNEL

It’s the end of an era, with Jon Stewart (above) signing off as host after fronting the satirical news program since 1999. Until Trevor Noah takes over in late September, you’ll have to manage withdrawal symptoms by watching John Oliver’s weekly show.

SCI-FI

12 MONKEYS 9. 3 0PM, S BS2 The Friday night SBS2 timeslot is all you need to know to realise this show isn’t the best ever made. It’s not awful – just a disappointment considering the intriguing elements provided by the original. The constant back-and-forth makes the time travel element confusing, and Amanda Schull is miscast as the brilliant virologist.

DRAMA

AQUARIUS 3 PM, PRESTO The second-last episode of this ’60s crime-drama hits Presto at 3pm. A second season’s been announced but, with a timeslot demotion in the US, the planned six-season story arc may not eventuate. Tonight, Hodiak (David Duchovny) and Shafe (Grey Damon, above with Duchovny) close in on the elusive serial killer.
