COMEDY SAMMY J AND RANDY IN RICKETTS LANE
STREAMING, ABC i VI E W
One of Australian comedy’s dream teams, Sammy J (the pants-wetting lawyer) and Randy (the purple, divorced one) swap the festival circuit for a six-part sitcom you can binge-watch any time this month. The series retains both the songs and the all-round wrongness of their stand-up.
TEXAS RISING 7. 3 0PM, F X Those who love their horse-wranglin’, tobaccychewin’, gun-slingin’ westerns may find something to dig in this five-part drama depicting the transformation of Texas from lawless frontier to statehood. But an interesting cast (Olivier Martinez, Ray Liotta, Crispin Glover, Brendan Fraser) is largely wasted on a series so slow and old-fashioned it should be in black and white.
UTOPIA 9PM, ABC Don’t you hate it when work tries to get you involved in … ugh … activities? It’s Healthy Heart Week in the NBA office and while the team is lunging and stretching and switching to stand-up work stations, Tony (Rob Sitch) is just getting high blood-pressure readings and chocolate bars: “I need my gluten and refined sugar!”
