SCI-FI 12 MONKEYS
9. 2 5 PM, S BS2
If only the whole series was as good as this final ep – including the dark hints about a group “preparing for the coming of the 12” and a big finale in the timetravel lab featuring a Mexican standoff, two major characters fatally shot and another threatening to blow up the place. Stars Aaron Stanford (above).
ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY 8. 3 0PM, 7 T WO More like EscapeFromOurCountry, with UK expats Lyndon and Paula deciding to forsake Australia for village life in Worcestershire. Lyndon’s just retired and wants to return to his roots. Also, he wasn’t able to find “fresh produce” in Australia. Paula hopes to find a home with a pool, like she had in Oz. Maybe an indoor one, she says.
JEFF DUNHAM: ALL OVER THE MAP 8. 3 0PM, T HE C OMEDY C HANNEL When international comedians visit Australia, they often wheel out five minutes of local gags which the crowd always adores. This is a compendium of US ventriloquist Jeff Dunham’sh ’ locall l materialt i li in each country he visits. The Irish are drunks. Iceland is boring. Norway gets a ski-jumping gag and an IKEA joke. Yes, Dunham (above) knows IKEA’s not Norwegian. Fairly innocuous fun.
