BRITAIN’S GREATEST BRIDGES
7. 3 0PM, S BS A four-part series about bridges hardly sounds riveting (pardon the pun) but somehow engineer and host Rob Bell manages to make the story of how the Forth Bridge was designed and built surprisingly compelling. The bridge, just outside Edinburgh, Scotland, is seen as one of the last engineering triumphs of the Victorian era. Future weeks will cover the Tyne Bridge, Tower Bridge and the Britannia Bridge.
