Local gig for Scott’s Jukebox jivers

MILEY CYRUS’s We Can’t Stop is quite possibly the most unlikely song to be turned into a doo wop number.

But Scott Bradlee and his collection of performers known as the Postmodern Jukebox did just that and it was a viral sensation.

The 33-year-old New Yorker has become something of an internet sensation with his retro covers of modern songs racking up millions of hits on YouTube and thousands of downloads of his 10 albums.

Now he is hitting the road in bringing the Postmodern Jukebox to Australia.

“One of the exciting things about what we do is getting to travel all over the world,” Bradlee said.

“We have wanted to come to Australia for a while because of the fans there.”

They play The Tivoli on September 5.
