LUKE Kennedy;s s de­but in­de­pen­dent re­leasee­lease is now avail­able on iTunes.

And even a cur­sory lis­ten too the five-track EP shows the lis­tenerer just how per­sonal thee al­bum is.

Kennedy;s s re­lataion­ship with fello fel­low singer er Naomi Price has been well doc­u­ment­e­dented since he ap­peared on The Voice,Voice but the al­bum is re­ally the first time he hass pub­licly spo­ken about it.

Kennedy said he had Price in mind when he wrote the EP’s ti­tle track Skin & Scars.

“It’s about the peo­ple in our lives who we love the most,” he said. “The per­son you would give any­thing for, do any­thing for, drop ev­ery­thing and run to be with.

“For me, that is Naomi. I was def­i­nitely think­ing about her when I wrote it.”

The al­bum has been on the shelf for more than a year, while Kennedy ne­go­ti­ated his way out of a con­tract with Uni­ver­sal Mu­sic. Uni­ver­sal signed Kennedy dy af­ter hee came sec­ond on n The Voice in 2013, but left him in the wilder­ness af­ter re­leas­ing a col­lec­tion of songs from

the show.
