NO MOODY RE­CEP­TION FOR PRIZES

PETER Moody yesterday made a public state­ment about the way he is per­ceived by some rac­ing of­fi­cials by not ap­pear­ing at the post-race vic­tory pre­sen­ta­tions at Caulfield.

Moody, who last week re­jected an in­vi­ta­tion to at­tend the Vic­to­rian Race­horse of the Year awards to ac­cept the tro­phy for Dis­si­dent, last week was in­formed of a di­rec­tions hear­ing by the Rac­ing Ap­peals and Dis­ci­plinary Board on Septem­ber 9.

Moody faces a cobalt charge in­volv­ing Li­dari at last year’s Spring Car­ni­val.

The trainer has be­come miffed about the way some of­fi­cials sud­denly deem him “prej­u­di­cial to the im­age of rac­ing”.
