FEW boxers have been able to get through world champion Jeff Horn’s defences, but this six-year-old found a way during a sponsor’s day.

Horn joked that taking on Shanae Holden might be good preparation for his November 25 mystery fight.

“That one was definitely one of the harder spars – she was going flat out,” he said. “It’s good to enjoy our time with the kids, and it was a good fun day that Mazda put on.

“To have 10 kids have the opportunity to spar with me in the ring with the big gloves on was great.”

Horn says he’s still not sure who he’ll be fighting in November, but added: “I’m sure they’re getting close (to striking a deal).”

As for his form, he said: “The body is good. A couple of weeks ago it was still sore from starting off, but now we are two or three weeks in, I am feeling a bit better.”

Horn – whose wife, Jo, is due to have their first child in January – said: “It will be good timing if I can finish it (the fight) off in November then have a couple of months to enjoy the baby coming along.”
