The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - - NEWS - WITH PETER CAMERON

ONE Nation state boss Ste Steve Di Dickk son has a “balance of power’’ election timetable to bury Labor’s Cross River Rail and LNP’s fast train to Bundaberg.

With Pauline’s party tipped to win a swag of seats outside Brisbane, Dickson (pictured with Pauline Hanson) is adamant the 1N MPs will hold that balance of power in the expanded state House. Majorities start at 47 seats.

Edgy LNP MPs tell Traps Premier Stacia will make a dash back from Toowoomba Cabinet on Monday to call the state poll on Tuesday.

But Traps is not so sure with Cabinet ministers and key A-Pal staff taking holidays and Premier off to Kingaroy on Tuesday. Just bank on a new Parliament at least a month before the Gold Coast Games April 4. Dickson’s timetable can’t squeeze in the so-called eight minute travel saving for XRR commuters. “Cross River Rail is dead. Saving eight min minutes travel for $5.4 billion says wem w we’re just being bullshitted to. “Very Fast Train has a few obstaclescl cles. It’s not costed and VFT needs lon long straight stretches. ““We need to duplicate the northern line past Beerburrum first,’’ said Bd Buderim-based Dickson. “Sunshine Coast is the poor cousin to Gold Coast. Some of our trains even lack toilets,’’ Dickson said. The 1N team also will push for a new dam in the Gympie area and roads to Sunshine Coast University Hospital. The 1N primary vote peaked at 43.5 per cent winning 11 seats in 1998 vote. The A-Pal election message is expected to sound louder after the Queen’s Birthday long weekend early October. Stacia’s hearts and flowers for Toowoomba will be “There’s 46 doctors and 200 nurses and midwives been added to Darling Downs Health Services.’’
