Shock poll odds from book­ies

LA­BOR has jumped to favourite in 51 state seats in a shock book­ies’ Queens­land elec­tion shake-up.

The LNP leads La­bor out­right in elec­tion bet­ting at $1.75 af­ter im­pres­sive polls, but La­bor re­mains safe at $2 af­ter bet­ting gi­ants Sports­bet dropped the bomb­shell that One Na­tion was chal­leng­ing the LNP in five seats and was a wider sec­ond favourite to the LNP in 11 oth­ers.

One Na­tion MP Steve Dickson is a $5 chance to re­tain Bud­erim with can­di­date Mar­garet Bell the party’s “most likely’’ at $2.20 in the north­ern seat of Hinch­in­brook.

Other One Na­tion seat threats in­clude Cal­lide ($2.50), Nanango ($3) and Gre­gory ($3.30).

LNP heads Sports­bet mar­kets in 40 of the 93 seats with front­bencher Ian Walker bat­tling at $2.60 in the south­side’s re­jigged seat of Mans­field be­hind La­bor’s school teacher hope Corinne McMil­lan ($1.50).

Gold Coast re­mains safe for LNP in­clud­ing for­mer Townsville-based New­man gov­ern­ment min­is­ter David Crisa­fulli who is $1.05 to re­turn to par­lia­ment from Broad­wa­ter.
