Sirromet wine gains acclaim
A SOUTHEAST Queensland chardonnay has made it into the final three in the world’s largest wine competition.
Mt Cotton’s Sirromet is in third place going into the finals of Tasting Book’s Best Wine in the World competition 2017 for its Le Sauvage Chardonnay 2013.
The winery’s Le Sauvage Shiraz Viognier 2013 is in fifth place.
It is a huge honour for the homegrown wine, putting it just below South Australia’s celebrated Penfolds Grange Hermitage 2012 in second place.
