The se­cret is the pro­bi­otics in these foods, which Grif­fith Univer­sity re­searchers in Queens­land say help to nip stress, de­pres­sion and anx­i­ety in the bud if en­joyed daily.

They found that when healthy peo­ple added pro­bi­otics to their diet, it boosted good bac­te­ria in the gut, which helped the brain bet­ter han­dle stress­ful feel­ings.
