Another reason to… CLEAN WITH VINEGAR AND BICARB

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - Body and Soul - - NEWS -

Using a bleach or strong disinfectant just once a week can increase your chance of developing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) by nearly a third. The findings come from a study of 55,000 nurses by Harvard University and the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research.

COPD encompasses conditions like emphysema, chronic bronchitis and chronic asthma, and affects around 14 per cent of Australians over 40.

Want to try a natural surface cleaner? Mix 1 cup bicarbonate of soda, 1/2 cup white vinegar, and a few drops of essential oil. If you need to do serious scrubbing, add a handful of salt.
