Up to 90 per cent of com­mu­nal of­fice mugs are coated in germs, with 20 per cent of those mugs show­ing signs of fae­cal mat­ter – gross! – US re­searchers at the Univer­sity of Arizona have found. Pay­ing for take­away cof­fee can get a lit­tle pricey, so take care of the of­fice germs by reg­u­larly re­plac­ing the com­mu­nal sponge – that’s what spreads the bac­te­ria in the first place.
