DON’T FORGET TO… ADD OIL TO YOUR SALAD

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - Body and Soul - - NEWS -

A recent US study found that adding oil to your salad can double the amount of nutrients you score from the meal. The researchers say that adding a splash of oil to your greens helps absorption of vitamins A, E and K, as well as carotenoids – all of which can prevent cancer and protect your eyesight. The study looked specifically at the nutrient-boosting effects of oil up to a quantity of 32g, which is just over two tablespoons of soybean or olive oil, so get drizzling.
