Mother-of-two Canan Arikan-Be­van­dra, 34, and her eight-and-a-half-month-old son Adrian have just had their morn­ing meet­ing with a so­cial worker. She’s ended up here af­ter ex­treme tired­ness caused her to prang her car, she ex­plains, as we talk in her sim­ply dec­o­rated room, which fea­tures a dou­ble bed, en­suite bath­room, a cot and change ta­ble.
