I love to run, but you wouldn’t know if you saw me mid-work­out, all breath­less and gri­mac­ing. No more! My new mis­sion is to smile as I pound the pave­ment – ap­par­ently it makes the whole thing feel eas­ier. Ac­cord­ing to sci­en­tists, your body con­sumes less oxy­gen when you smile rather than frown as you ex­er­cise.
