FROM THE EDITOR

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - Body and Soul - - NEWS - – ELIN

Hear the word ‘botox’ and what’s the first thing that springs to mind? For me, it’s frozen foreheads and re-runs of The Real Housewives. Until now, that is. It turns out that as well as erasing the years from your face, botulinum toxin has myriad therapeutic uses that are rapidly gaining popularity in the medical world – from helping to ease migraines and depression, to putting a stop to teeth clenching and certain types of incontinence. Our in- depth report on page 8 reveals everything you need to know about how it might help you.

Elsewhere in this issue we look at AGEs, the harmful compounds in our daily diet that could be making us all grow old before our time – and the solution is as simple as changing the way we cook. It’s a fascinating read, and will certainly make me reconsider eating that burnt toast! Get the lowdown on page 4.

Also, I can’t sign off this week without mentioning our gorgeous cover star Frankie and her owner Jeremy. The beautiful story of how this abandoned pup helped to bring Jeremy back from the brink of despair had us all wiping away the tears in the b+ s office.

We’re so grateful to Jeremy for his breathtakingly honest interview, not to mention Frankie – officially one of our favourite cover models of all time. Read their heartwarming story on page 6. Have a great week!
