If you want to keep your health in good nick, go Dutch. Similar to the Mediterranean diet, the Dutch way of eating focuses on a mix of fruit, veg, nuts, wholegrains, fish and limited sugar. According to researchers from Erasmus University in the Netherlands, this combo could help protect your noggin. During the study, scientists found that people who followed the Dutch diet had larger brains than those who didn’t, and since increased brain volume has been linked to improved brain ageing, the diet could play a significant role in preserving your smarts later in life.
