We get a lot of feed­back here at body+ soul. I love read­ing through your let­ters and emails after each is­sue to see what you liked and, cru­cially, what you didn’t, so we can try to de­liver the well­be­ing con­tent you re­ally want to read ev­ery Sun­day. Some of our most pas­sion­ate let­ters come from our male read­ers, ask­ing for more male-fo­cused con­tent. So this is­sue is ded­i­cated to you, the gen­tle­men of Aus­tralia!

And what bet­ter way to ap­proach this men’s is­sue than by delv­ing into the truth be­hind your health habits. So, with the help of the ex­perts at YouGov Galaxy, we sur­veyed more than 1000 Aussie men from across the coun­try to see what’s go­ing on.

Talk about a con­tra­dic­tion! On the one hand, so many men are mak­ing changes to im­prove their health; on the other, many are sab­o­tag­ing those good ef­forts at the same time (see be­low).

So, that’s where we come in. The aim of this is­sue is to make you think about your own (or your part­ner’s) health habits and what you can do to fur­ther im­prove them.
