FROM THE EDITOR

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - Body and Soul - - NEWS - – ELIN

Can you believe we’re already almost a month into spring? I don’t know about you, but I like to use a new season as an excuse to spend money on myself, specifically new clothes and beauty products (hey, why not, right?)

This year, I’m making a conscious effort to embrace a more natural approach to beauty by switching up a few of my staple products for chemical-free options. And it seems I’m not the only one. The global natural and organic beauty market is growing so fast it’s forecast to nearly double in size to $ 30 billion by 2024.

Our cover story on page 4 charts the rise of the green beauty trend, while on page 6 you’ll find our guide to picking the best clean products to help you make the switch, as well as the labels to look out for.

Still on the subject of spring, it’s getting harder to put off the inevitable – trying on last year’s swimmers and hoping for the best! The problem is that our metabolism slows down as we age and our diets need to change to keep pace, which makes that seasonal swimwear gauntlet harder to face every year. Check out page 12 for the simple nutrition rules that will keep you at your best in your midlife and beyond.

And we keep the focus on nutrition on page 14 with delicious recipes that will take you right from breakfast to dinner while giving your gut the TLC – aka the fibre – it needs. Enjoy!
