There’s good news for people with chronic constipation: help is on the way in the form of a vibrating capsule. Developed by Israeli company Vibrant, the capsule sends vibrations through the large intestine to stimulate digestion-friendly stomach contractions. A recent study by Augusta University in the US revealed that people who took the capsule had twice as many bowel movements as those who didn’t. If future studies are able to replicate the findings, the high-tech pill could hit the market in as little as three years.
