Adelaide Zoo Home to the only giant pandas (Wang Wang and Funi) in the southern hemisphere, the Adelaide Zoo has more than 300 species of animals. From beetles and bugs to reptiles and fish, this small zoo has beautiful gardens to explore as part of a terrific family day out. Arrive early to catch the animals at their hungriest and remember to pack a picnic lunch for yourself – there’s plenty of shade on the well-manicured lawns, as well as picnic tables and park benches. The hands-on Children’s Zoo gives little ones the chance to touch and feed animals such as kangaroos, goats, deer and sheep.
