ROYAL LOFT SUITE, OVATION OF THE SEAS

When it comes to space, the recently launched Royal Loft Suite can’t be beat –combined it’s almost as big as three double-decker buses.

Split across two levels, on the main floor there’s an open plan living area, bathroom and separate media room.

On the second floor, there’s a master bedroom, second bathroom and floor-to-ceiling windows that open on to a private balcony with whirlpool tub. A “Royal Genie” (certified by the British Butler Institute, no less) is on hand to ensure guests have everything they need, which includes handcrafted cocktails at any hour of the day.

OWNER’S SUITE, SANCTUARY ANANDA

At 67sq m, Sanctuary Ananda’s

Owner’s Suite is the largest cabin on any ship cruising Myanmar.

Decked out in a mix of lush silks, polished teak and traditional lacquerware, guests can slumber on a kingsize bed and soak in an oversized freestanding tub.

The swish bathroom also includes a monsoon shower, his-and-hers sinks and it is stocked with French L’Occitane cosmetic goodies.

Outside, there’s a large private veranda on which to take in the sunset or sunrise over the beautiful Irrawaddy River from the comfort of a sun lounger.

CABIN NO. 1, SEA CLOUD

For a glimpse into luxury living on the high seas of yesteryear, look no further than Sea Cloud’s Cabin No.1. Decorated by the ship’s original owner, Marjorie Merriweather Post, in the early 1930s, the master suite reflects her opulent tastes. From the marble and gold bathroom fixtures and the elegant Louis XIV-style bed, to the polished teak wood panelling, antique furniture and fireplaces; the cabin oozes charm and chintz.

REGENT SUITE, SEVEN SEAS EXPLORER

Known as one of the most luxurious ships ever built, it’s unsurprising that the Seven Seas

Explorer’s Regent Suite is perhaps the most extravagant accommodation available at sea.

A must for high rollers, this grand daddy of cruise cabins is 412sq m of private gardens, chandeliers, grand pianos and out-of-this-world finishing touches. The standout feature is undoubtedly the in-room “spa retreat”, which allows guests to be pampered to within an inch of their lives without even leaving their room. A first at sea, the stone and marble spa-cum-bathroom includes a treatment area, sauna and steam room, ceramic heated relaxation loungers and oversized hot tub.

Throw in a fully stocked marble bar with plenty of entertaining room, an outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the bow of the ship and you’ll have every other passenger lining up to be your new best friend.

SEABREEZE PENTHOUSE, CRYSTAL SERENITY

Emerging from a long refit, the revamped Serenity – and its sister ship, Symphony – now boast two lavish penthouses.

Kitted out with marble floored bathrooms that feature jacuzzis with ocean views and waterproof TVs, his-and-her walk-in wardrobes, a custombuilt bar and separate study area, the accommodation is undeniably impressive. As are the add-ons, such as 24/7 personal butler, unlimited

complimentary dining at the onboard specialty restaurants, in-suite pre-dinner canapes and cocktails, daily fresh flowers and laundry and pressing services. It’s just like a Beverly Hills five-star hotel.

THE OWNER’S SUITE, MARINA

Accessed via a dramatic entry foyer complete with its own music room, each of the three Owner’s Suites on Oceania Cruises’ Marina are decorated with furnishings from the Ralph Lauren Home Collection. But the luxe fitout in the sprawling accommodation doesn’t end there.

In addition, there’s a large lounge, dining room (complete with sixperson table), expansive private deck, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis and 24hour butler service.

DELUXE OWNER’S SUITE, THE HAVEN, NORWEGIAN GETAWAY

Hidden away at the top of the ship, The Haven is a “luxury ship within a ship” – a self-contained unit with its own restaurant, bar, pools, courtyard and even open deck area.

And the best of the best here is the Deluxe Owner’s Suite. Featuring an extra spacious wraparound private balcony, kingsize bed and vast marble bathroom with over-size tub, the suite also comes with a butler to whip up cocktails on demand.

ROYAL OWNER’S SUITE, SCENIC DIAMOND

Refurbished this year, Scenic

Diamond’s Royal Owner’s Suite has increased in both size and luxury.

Think bathrooms with heated floors, a pretty sunroom and a living room with a long bar that’s just begging for a cocktail party or two.

Perks abound with pre-dinner canapes and post-dinner petits fours, airport transfers, champagne and inroom dining options.

THE OWNER’S SUITE, VIKING SKY

Oozing modern Scandinavian design, the chichi Owner’s Suite on Viking Sky was created by the same interior architects responsible for the likes of the Beverly Hills Hotel and The Langham in Hong Kong. And it shows.

A private veranda, library, dining nook, powder room and a master bathroom that houses a private ocean-view sauna; there’s everything you’ll need.

And for those that can’t leave the workplace behind, the suite even includes its very own boardroom that seats 12.

BALSORANO OWNER’S SUITE, SILVER MUSE

Named after Silversea’s Italian chairman, this stylish Owner’s Suite is designed to reflect his personality with a specially curated collection of artwork, books, sculptures, family photographs and even a selection of vintage port. Comprising spacious living room, indulgent Italian marble-clad bathroom, guests can begin or end their day taking in spectacular ocean views while breakfasting or sipping cocktails from their private veranda.

Given that Silversea is the only cruise line in the world to provide a butler in every suite, the offering of the Owner’s Suite is already heavily bolstered with impressive touches, including a minibar stocked with guests’ favourite wines and spirits, personalised stationery, pillow menu and Bulgari toiletries. Mamma mia!
