FOURTH AMONG QUEENS

Lux­ury cruise line Cu­nard will add a fourth ship to its fleet, with the 3000guest ship ex­pected to en­ter ser­vice in 2022. The as-yet un­named ship will join Cu­nard’s “Three Queens” – Queen Mary 2, Queen Vic­to­ria and Queen El­iz­a­beth – as the line’s first new ship since the Queen El­iz­a­beth was launched in 2010. The line cel­e­brated its 175th an­niver­sary in 2015 and the new ship will be the 249th ship to fly the Cu­nard flag.

NEW TWO SHOW HOS­PI­TAL­ITY

Hol­land Amer­ica Line wel­comes ships Maas­dam and No­or­dam to Syd­ney on Oc­to­ber 21 and 22 re­spec­tively as the 2017-18 cruise sea­son gets un­der way.

The ships will make calls at some 48 ports this sea­son, in­clud­ing 33 in Aus­tralia alone, and in a first for the line lo­cally will of­fer two shorter sail­ings of four and five days for peo­ple keen to sam­ple HAL hos­pi­tal­ity. The De­cem­ber 19 four-day de­par­ture sails out of Auck­land on to the Bay of Is­lands, fol­lowed by a two­day cross­ing to Syd­ney, which is also priced from $749 a per­son twin share.

Book ei­ther voy­age by Oc­to­ber 20, 2017, and re­ceive a $200 air credit to­wards flights out of Syd­ney, Mel­bourne, Bris­bane, Ade­laide, Perth and Auck­land.
