ED’S LETTER

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - Stellar - - Contents - Sarrah

They were the abs that had the nation talking. Once famed for his golfing prowess, it was his ultra-buff physique that catapulted Greg Norman into the headlines when a photo recently surfaced of him taking a dip, sans clothes, in a lake in Colorado. With abs that would put many a twentysomething to shame – and a fitness regimen that has no doubt seen many a thirty/ forty/fiftysomething suddenly clamouring to sign up for a gym membership – the 62-year-old golfing legend is proof that age is no longer the barrier it once was. It’s this philosophy that has inspired The Timeless Issue, wherein you will encounter various people over the following pages who embody, in their own unique way, a positive and defiant approach to growing older. As this week’s cover star Sonia Kruger, 51, tells Stellar, the tired old rules no longer apply. Whereas once the only recourse for a woman was to lie about her age if she still wanted to be seen as relevant, The Timeless Issue is testament to the fact that some things do indeed only get better with age.
