There are now just a few thousand uninfected people left on the planet, and avenging angel Alice (Milla Jovovich) only has 48 hours to locate the airborne antivirus that will save them from zombie oblivion. Co-stars Iain Glen and Ali Larter.

MONDAY

is burning rubber, the movie can get by as inoffensively mindless fun.

TUESDAY

fine art of falling apart. An outsider in his own home – which he shares with a materialistic wife (Annette Bening) – he spends the last weeks of his life bizarrely reinventing himself as a maverick loser. An edgy, amusingly angst-ridden social satire of eerily recognisable proportions from director Sam Mendes.

Edgy: Kevin Spacey and Mena Suvari star in AmericanBeauty.
