HORN SET TO RAIN BLOWS I N VEGAS

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - TV Guide - - Don’t Miss This Week... -

SINCE his shock defeat of champion Manny Pacquiao last year, former Brisbane school teacher-turned-Australia’s newest boxing star Jeff Horn (right) has earned himself the title as our greatest sporting drawcard right now.

Today he faces his toughest test yet, facing off against American pugilist Terence Crawford in a Las Vegas showdown for the WBO Welterweight belt.

Adding more fire power to the clash, both combatants are expected to wear controversial horse hair gloves, which allows each boxer to manipulate the padding so there’s little covering the knuckles – upping the sting in every punch.

This shift from the foam-padded gloves Horn prefers plays into Crawford’s hands, but the Nebraskan should underestimate the 29-year-old Aussie at his peril.
