Hospital has art starter

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - NEWS -

GIDON Goodman has already forced the state government to lower overpriced parking at hospitals — now the teenager’s next mission is to make the wards a more colourful and happier place for children.

The 14-year-old, who suffers from Gaucher disease, is part of the annual art exhibition at the Sydney Children’s Hospital.

“The worst thing about hospitals is that it’s boring, you don’t have your computer and there’s nothing to break it up,” Gidon said.

“Art is a lot of fun, and it makes hospital more bearable.”

This year the art has also been transformed into fundraising scarfs to raise money for the hospital.

The collection will be on display until November 30.
